“Whether they decide to go into construction or not, we want it be an option for them,” he explains. “If one day, one of them says ‘Hey, you know what, dad, I really like what you’re doing,’ or ‘Mom, I really like what you’re doing,’ we would love to give them the opportunity.” And whether Adanam Construction has a second generation or not, Ernie concludes that they want to “leave a mark.” “One of the things that’s most satisfying about what we do is when we drive by a project we’ve built, and we look at it, and we know that we did that work,” he concludes. “That means a lot. That’s the thing I love the most about construction. So we want to keep doing jobs that we can be proud of – that we can drive by years later and be proud to say ‘we built that.’ I think Metro 78 and Altairus are going to be examples of that.
