including spaces in the basement, the main floor, and the rooftop. “The client wants to make that building a community in itself,” Renee explains. “It’s a very neat building, really great looking, with a really nice view up top.” On both those projects, Adanam Construction is working closely with developer Pinto Properties, a repeat client with whom they enjoy a very strong relationship. Ernie partly credits the strength of that relationship to their shared values. He also partly credits Adanam’s reliability: “I think they keep coming to us because they trust we’re going to get the job done on time, and we’re going to deliver it on budget and on schedule,” he says. “That relationship took a while to develop, to be honest. It didn’t happen overnight. We had lots of dialogue and we proved ourselves over time, and on those projects we’ve been involved right from the design.” Moving forward, Ernie says his goal is to continue fostering that relationship, as well as relationships with other developers of similar morals and values. He also hopes work with more clients in the institutional and commercial sectors in order to make the company more adaptable to changing market conditions. As previously mentioned, Ernie also intends for Adanam Construction to eventually start doing some developments of their own. Ultimately, he says, his goal is “creating something” and “leaving a legacy for our kids.” JUNE 2025
