“A lot of our clients are repeat,” she says. “We get to know them and we get to know their family really well. They become friends.” The strength of those relationships, Renee adds, is a credit to how closely they work clients throughout the whole process, and how much they care about meeting their clients’ specific objectives. “We think about our clients a lot,” she explains. “We’re always thinking about what they want out of the job at the end of the day. We make sure we understand what they are trying to achieve, and every decision we make goes towards achieving that. If they have a budget, we’ll keep the project within that budget. If they want things outside of the budget, we’ll let them know quickly what the costs are, so they can make an informed decision and there are no surprises.” Of course, the company also reliably delivers quality – their close-knit client relationships are also a testament to that. “We have a very in-depth program when it comes to quality,” Renee says. “We have guys constantly monitoring the site, making sure trades are doing what they’re supposed to be doing. We conduct our own quality control checks, then we have the client check our progress as we go. It’s a three-tier process.” That last tier of quality control – the client tier – is important, Renee adds, because clients sometimes change their minds after seeing a fixture or a paint colour in person. If that happens, it’s easier and more cost-effective to make a change right away before the project moves on to the next phase. In Renee’s experience, giving clients that opportunity goes a long way to ensuring they are satisfied at the end. THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA
