doing his own developments – that has started happening now, but more on that later. Renee, for her part, also has a deep background in the construction industry. Over the past decade-plus, she has worked in senior project management roles with some of the nation’s premier contractors, including EllisDon, Jen-Col Construction, and Chandos Construction. Last year, she joined Ernie at Adanam Construction in order to help him take the company to the next level. These days, Adanam Construction takes on commercial and industrial projects ranging from tenant improvements to complex office towers, shopping centers, hotels and resorts, airport facilities, institutional projects, light industrial projects, and civil construction works. In terms of size and value, their projects can range from $100,000 to $40 million. In terms of geography, they mainly work in Alberta but if the right opportunity presents itself they can work anywhere in Canada. According to Ernie, within that niche, a big part of what sets Adanam apart is their experience and expertise in-house. Not only are he and Renee personally very experienced at managing large-scale projects, but the same goes for many members of their senior staff. Furthermore, Renee believes clients like working with Adanam because they are very personable, and they tend to form genuine connections with the people they are working with. JUNE 2025
