THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA Accepting the challenge Last fall, Kays Contracting was contracted by the City of Nelson to construct 180 metres of multi-use path along Kootenay lake shoreline. Jeff says that was an appealing project because of the tangible impact it made on the region they love living and working in so much. “We have this amazing waterfront here, but it’s very undeveloped, and this was one instance where we got to play a part in developing it,” he explains. “I feel like it was a big step for the city to start developing this land and really start beautifying that zone for usage by the public.” A few years ago, Kays Contracting also did a waterline project for the City of Nelson.
