on condominium buildings, but they are now starting to explore purpose-built rentals and even seniors residences, because those building types are also severely lacking in supply and highly in demand. In general, AJ says, the company’s vision is to make a positive impact on the cities in which they work, no matter the type or size of project they are developing. That vision comes straight from the top, from Liaquat Mian himself. “Mr. Mian is deeply committed to community engagement, corporate social responsibility, and charity,” AJ says. “He actively seeks ways for LJM to contribute positively to the communities in which we operate, fostering a sense of belonging and shared prosperity.” “For Mr. Mian, giving back to the country which has been in home for the last two decades is of utmost importance,” he adds. As examples of how LJM gives back, AJ cites a donation to Habitat for Humanity in Grimsby, a donation of four condominium units worth over $2 million to the city of London for affordable housing, and the donation of $2 million towards the construction of a new hospital in Niagara region – which will also see the dedication of a city park in the Mian family name. “Mr. Mian really does care a lot,” AJ concludes. “He gives back in many different ways, and it’s important to him that every project and every endeavour we undertake is a win-win for us and the community. That makes what we do very rewarding.” JULY 2025
