The company’s largest project to date was a 20,000-square-foot fertilizer storage shed valued at almost $2.5 million, which they completed earlier this year. Once again, Brenton believes what sets Savage Construction apart in that niche is their service. Though they are capable of taking on large-scale works, they still have what Brenton calls “a small company feel.” “Our clients are dealing with me personally,” he reiterates. “We’re not such a big company that they’re dealing with a salesperson at the beginning and then with a project manager during construction and they never meet the owner. I’m literally on the job sites every week. I’m in tune with and in touch with everything that’s going on every day. I’m still involved in everything.” Savage Construction also enjoys equally close and personal relationships with their team members, especially their direct team members. Brenton calls their team a “close-knit group” with not a lot of turnover – which is not the standard in their region. “I don’t have to advertise for employee,” he says. “A lot of contractors around here are constantly advertising for help, and I’ve never had that issue.
