hopes for the company to keep going, and for the third-generation to take over one day. To that end, Emilia recently joined the company, as has his son Dimitri, who is now doing service installations. What Jeff doesn’t want, however, is for the company to grow much bigger, at least not in the near term. In recent years, Alwind Industries has grown a lot, and they now hover between 30 and 35 employees – and Jeff is comfortable with that number. At that number, he says they can provide their clients with the attention to detail and the high level of service they are used to. If they grow any larger, he worries that their service could be compromised, which he doesn’t consider acceptable. “We’re a lot more committed to clients than we are to getting bigger,” he says. “We always want to service our clients to the best of our ability. We never want to grow to the point where our service suffers.” At the same time, Jeff says that he does want to expand in certain ways – he wants to take on a wider variety of projects, for example, and he wants to introduce new products. Emilia echoes that sentiment: “We’re always looking for new opportunities,” she says. “We’re really interested in doing new things, even things that we’ve never done before. We’re not afraid of a challenge. We do want to grow in that way. But no matter what we do, we want to maintain the same kind of close relationships with clients and provide the same level of quality and service.” “This industry is always changing, and we’re not set in our ways,” Jeff concludes. “We’re ready to adapt to the changes as they come. We’re looking to accept those challenges.” DECEMBER 2025
