Clients also highly appreciate the quality of Alwind’s products. According to Jeff, that quality is a credit to a couple key factors. One: they have a very talented and very loyal team – Jeff says many of their team members have been there for decades, and he considers them family. Two: the company has their own testing room in the shop where they can test windows, and they also have mobile testing equipment. So if there any issues on site and they need to determine if the cause was the installation or the assembly, they have the capacity to come to site and run those tests. Emilia Torcato, Jeff’s daughter, works in the office at Alwind Industries. She says the quality is also a credit to Jeff and his day-to-day personal involvement in the business: “Jeff deals with almost every client one-on-one, and he works on every job,” she says. “He’s very present. He double checks everything. Everything that we do goes through him. His experience is invaluable – he’s been doing this since he was a kid, he has experience in design, he has experience in the field, he knows this industry better than anyone. His involvement gives clients a lot of peace of mind that the job is going to be done right.” That kind of personal attention, combined with all of Alwind’s other points of difference, has resulted in some very longstanding relationships with clients. Jeff says some of those relationships even predate him – they go all the way back to when his father started the company in 1995.
