According to Kevin and Mathew, that project was a strong demonstration of Bluepoint’s capabilities, as well as the benefits that have come from being a part of Meraki Resources. Because of Meraki’s ties to Northern BC, Bluepoint was able to leverage decades of knowledge and relationships, along with partnering with K&D Logging, Meraki’s northern-most logging business. The scope of that project included replacing approximately 400 meters of 150-millimetre sanitary main, road-building, and specialized poly grouting of man holes to ensure water-tightness. Due to substandard soil conditions, Bluepoint was required to move a large amount of material to and from the site, which was challenging, considering the remoteness. “The community had been searching for a contractor to address their failing infrastructure for multiple years,” Kevin says. “Their remote location made it extremely challenging to find the right partner. When we connected, we embraced the opportunity to work with the community and their representatives, aligning on budget, timelines, and action items to resolve the residents’ challenges.
