Sean elaborates on what all those values mean, starting with ‘Genuinely Care About People’. “You can’t fake actually caring about people,” he says. “You can do the song and dance, but it shows through if you don’t actually care. The people here have to genuinely, really care about people, and that shows up in their work. It shows up in the relationships they build with clients. It shows up in every aspect of the job.” ‘Teamwork Makes the Dream Work’ is obvious – every single person has to perform and work as a team, or the company won’t be able to achieve what they want to achieve. Sean says that includes subcontractors and suppliers, who he says they believe in “treating exceptionally well.” “Our goal is to treat them better than anybody else,” he says. “The feedback we get from them reflects that. They love working with us because we treat them well and they enjoy our energy.” As for ‘Embrace an Ownership Mentality’, Sean explains how, when it comes to small-to-medium businesses, there’s a popular notion that nobody works as hard as an owner, because the owner is the most invested in the business being successful. However, while he works extremely hard – he calls himself “relentless” – he expects “every single person in the company” to share his mentality. “If they don’t have that same mentality, they don’t work with us,” he reiterates. “It’s as simple as that.” The people who do have that mentality, however, DECEMBER 2025
