“Because we have so much manpower, we can shuffle people around and take on work that most framers can’t,” he continues. “The average framer crew frames between 25-to-30 houses per year. Our company frames anywhere from 600-to-700 homes per year. We are in a total different market because we can handle as much work as we can.” Goldeye Construction can also deliver that work to a really high standard of quality. After every project is completed, they send a quality manager through with a rigorous checklist, they thoroughly review everything, and if there any issues they are rectified within 24 hours. “The three big things for builders are ‘servicing, schedule, and quality,’” Dave explains. “We tick all three of those boxes really well.” As a result, Goldeye Construction has been able to build some extremely strong and long-lasting relationships with customers. According to Dave, some of those relationships go all the way back to when the company first started, or close to it. Many of the Goldeye’s internal relationships are also longstanding. The company has a lot of new people – they are consistently growing, and Dave considers it an imperative to train and teach the next generation of framers – but they also have a group of “core people” that have been there over a decade. Dave largely credits that loyalty to the fact that they are paid well and always paid on time.
