The right direction Moving forward, the Town of Mattawa has ambitious plans for growth – but to accommodate that growth, they know they will need more housing. As previously mentioned, they are meeting that need in a variety of ways, with a variety of housing typologies. Mayor Bélanger strongly believes that a diversity of housing stock is vital and necessary. “We’re not just going to go and put up a bunch of million dollar homes,” he says. “We’re going to put up a lot of different kind of homes.
