On both counts, she says “we hold ourselves to a high standard.” On the communication side, Jamaica says the company has a rule – they need to respond to clients within four hours. They also understand the importance of meeting deadlines, because they know there are usually other consultants whose progress depends on their work being done first, and they never want to be the reason a project is delayed. Their mission is to make clients lives easier, never harder. “We take a lot of pride in meeting deadlines, in answering follow-up questions, in providing clarifications, and in doing a good job with our field reviews so we don’t miss anything,” she explains. “We don’t take any of that lightly. We understand how important all that is for our clients and for the other project stakeholders.” As a result of that understanding, Level Consulting Engineers has been able to build some great connections and relationships across the industry, particularly with architects. Jamaica says that’s actually how they get a lot of their work – from referrals from architects. She says some of those relationships go back to the very beginning of the company. “An architectural firm that we still work with today was the first architectural firm that worked with Jason when he was just getting started,” she says. “To this day, they regularly contact us for proposals for any project that they’re working on.
