units and buildings, and they are hoping to explore those sectors more in the future. No matter the building typology, what sets Destiny Homes apart – particularly in the RTM sector – is their ability to truly customize their buildings in order to meet the specific and individual needs of their clients. According to Cori, there’s a reason her title is ‘home strategist’ and not ‘salesperson.’ “We’re doing a lot more than just sales,” she says. “We’re doing architecture, interior design, site planning – the list goes on. There’s a lot that goes into what we do. Clients have a lot of freedom to create something that is uniquely theirs.” Though Destiny Homes does have floor plans available on their website, Cori says those are mainly used as a starting point. She emphasizes that “we’ve never built the same home twice.” “Clients can pick one of the floor plans on our website and we can shuffle things around, or they can draw a floor plan on a napkin and we will build it for them,” she explains. “Anything they want included, we will include. We had one person who wanted these very specific appliances imported from Europe, and we did that for them because it’s their home and it should be built their way.” “A lot of companies will call themselves custom and then be like, ‘pick from these 10 options,’” she adds. “We don’t believe in that. Custom means custom. It means whatever you want.” Additionally, Destiny Homes believes strongly in quality control and quality assurance – Cori THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA
