We always design and build them with the residents in mind, asking ourselves ‘If we were living there, what would we want it to look and feel like?’” When it comes to designing and engineering their projects, Hestia Construction tends to work with the same team of consulting and engineering partners. “We like to build partnerships,” Kunal explains. “When we’re starting a new project, we like to work with the same design team. They know our past projects; they know our values; they know what we expect and this saves a lot of time.” A lot of the same applies to Hestia’s relationships with subcontractors and subtrades. Again, Kunal says, they look to build long-term relationships and partnerships “that align with our values and understand what we want to bring to the community.” “On every project, our goal is to build an efficient, cost-effective building that’s inviting and feels like home to our residents,” he says. “We expect our design and subtrade partners to understand that.” Because they have been working with Hestia so long, most of their partners do indeed share that understanding.
