It’s still going to look just as beautiful then,” says Lisa. Building beautiful, safe homes with great customer experience requires meticulous care and thought, according to both Lisa and Alex. To ensure that care, AC Projects’ project manager and lead contractor, their son Jason, is on the job site every day overseeing the renovation project. Lisa jokes that Jason is “even more detail-oriented” than she is. “There are no corners that are cut. It’s ‘This is what has to be done and this is what gets done.’ In addition to good supervision, AC Projects clearly communicates their expectations and explains their process to their workers. That also helps ensure that every part of the house is finished to perfection. “They might take an extra five, ten minutes when they finish a walk to make sure it’s level,” Lisa explains. “If it’s not, they gotta go back and do what they gotta do.” Lisa and Alex both give credit to their team of subcontractors, many of whom AC Projects has been working with since the company was founded. They both emphasize the importance of working with folks who are similarly passionate and professional as they are, and the importance of maintaining strong working relationships with those partners. “We work with only our subcontractors and we have our confidence in them,” says Lisa. “We have a rapport with them.
