She implemented new processes where they took the information from the daily site logs that were completed for billing purposes, imported the data into Excel and then tracked that against a square footage takeoff to start to build a base of what their cost per square foot was. “There’s a lot more confidence in our estimating ability far out, which keeps builders pretty happy,” says Melissa.
