The Construction Source

Moving forward, Lumon Canada’s goal is to form a lot more industry partnerships with construction industry professionals, including builders, architects, and developers. They consider the B2B market to be “our future, our bread and butter,” according to Henry. “Right now there’s a push to get a lot more homes built in Canada. There’s a housing shortage, and builders are very keen to do their part to help resolve it. We want to be part of that.” And Lumon Canada will be part of that, Henry adds. There is already a “healthy pipeline” of projects in development by developers who want to work with them. Not all of those developments will come to fruition, of course, but considering the calibre of the developers they are talking to, Henry predicts a majority will happen – so he expects Lumon Canada to be pretty busy in the coming years. In addition, as sustainability becomes more important and energy-consciousness continues to rise, Henry expects even more clients to seek out Lumon Canada, as their products are environmentallyfriendly and their glazing system can lead to energy savings: “We’re dealing with glass and aluminum, which are 100 per cent recyclable,” Henry explains. “We put recycled materials in our products when we manufacture them. Our carbon footprint is very small. We’re very cognizant of environmental concerns and we’re in tune with them. That’s something developers and architects like. They’re already telling us they want us to be part of their projects because of our stamp of sustainability.” “So the future is very bright,” Henry concludes. “We’re very excited about what’s on the horizon for Lumon Canada.” MARCH 2024
