Getting bigger Moving forward, Terry says the vision for Head Honcho Builders is to continue growing. He no longer necessarily envisions running a company as big as Bird Construction, like he once did, but he does believe there’s room for Head Honcho to get bigger: “I would like to have a business that does anywhere from sixto-10 projects per year,” he says. “I’d like to have about 15 employees. That’s my goal. That’s where I’d like to be.” In terms of the type of projects he wants to do, Terry envisions more of the same – mostly residential, with some occasional commercial, but never industrial or institutional, as there’s too much bureaucracy involved in those kinds of jobs. “I’d like to be one of the most dominant homebuilders in my province,” he concludes. “That’s where I want to be.
