Large and challenging projects In addition to forming close relationships with clients, Apchin Design + Build also forms close relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Denis describes those partnerships as “essential” to the company’s quality. “We’ve established relationships with some of the best tradespeople in our region,” he says. “A lot of those relationships go back many, many years. Some of those relationships go back decades.” Some of those relationships are even multi-generational, Denis adds. For example, he now works with a mason whose father he worked with 35 years ago. The son, who now runs the business, started working with his dad in grade 9. When he took over the family business, he took over the relationship with Apchin Design + Build, and according to Denis he provides the same “unbelievable” and “meticulous” quality that his father provided.
