Fondations Henri Godin is a longstanding business with an almost-50-year history of providing foundation construction services to residential and commercial clients in Edmundston, New Brunswick. In recent years, owners Sylvain Martin and Annie Angers – who purchased the company in 2021 from owner Jacques Godin – have strived to strengthen that reputation. Under their leadership, the company has steadily built on the “solid foundation” set by the Godin family, and they intend to keep building even higher into the future. “When we purchased the company, it was known as one of the best companies in Edmundston,” Sylvain says. “They had a reputation for providing the best quality of work. We wanted to maintain that reputation.” Sylvain has personally worked in the field of civil construction for about 20 years, including seven years in concrete management. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his current role. Annie, his wife and business partner, now supports him at the administration level. Over the past three years, Fondations Henri Godin has grown at a steady rate under Sylvain and Annie – and as a result of their diligence and commitment, the company’s reputation has remained industry-leading. These days, the company primarily takes on residential projects, with occasional commercial projects. According to Sylvain, clients in both sectors choose Fondations Henri Godin due to their history of quality: “The previous owner was a perfectionist,” he says. “He never took any shortcuts.
