They also want to continue focusing on commercial and industrial work, as Brian feels those are the jobs that help a company to grow and expand. That’s not to say that he wants to leave residential behind entirely, however: “We’re never going to stop doing residential,” he says. “Residential is always going to be a department within our operation. It’s just that our growth is going to be mostly in commercial and industrial, in infrastructure projects. We see that as the future growth of our company.” Within the next few years, Brian’s goal is to grow by at least another million in sales. From there, he says he will look at expanding and starting another office in Edmonton, or maybe even an office outside Alberta in a province like British Columbia or Saskatchewan. First, however, they want to continue building and cementing their brand locally: “We want to be known as the leading supplier and installer of fencing in Calgary,” Brian concludes. “We want to keep getting our brand out there and keep building our reputation.” NOVEMBER 2023
