Vladan Myska and Cyril Svec: A Shared Journey to SVEMY Construction Vladan Myska, originally from the Czech Republic, immigrated to Canada in 2012, bringing with him a background in furniture design and technology. In Canada, he plunged into the construction industry, starting as a labourer for a company, then progressing to a site supervisor role, and eventually undertaking his own projects as a metal sheet roofer. His journey led him to work in commercial renovation for another commercial construction company, a role that serendipitously connected him with Cyril Svec. Cyril, also from the Czech Republic, embarked on a strikingly similar path after arriving in Canada the same year as Vladan. Methodically rising through the ranks of the construction industry, Cyril’s path converged with Vladan’s in 2016. The two quickly formed a tight-knit bond, both professionally and personally. What sets Vladan and Cyril apart from many in the industry is their extensive educational backgrounds in technical fields. Both hold university degrees, adding a layer of expertise and theoretical knowledge to their practical experience in the construction sector. After several years of collaborating, they decided to leverage their collective experience, education, and shared vision to create their unique venture.
