has two showrooms, one in Hamilton (220 Nebo Rd.) and one in Burlington (1163 King Rd.). As previously mentioned, they also have a Design Centre, located two doors over from their showroom in Hamilton. Over the past five years, Decorrestore has also expanded their cabinetmaking capabilities. When the company started, they mainly focused on respraying and refacing cabinetry to smooth ‘manufacturer-quality’ finishes, but now they also have a cabinetmaking shop in-house, which has been very beneficial: “That allows us a lot of flexibility on projects,” Ally explains. “We can create a lot of customized pieces at very quick turnarounds. Respraying is when they take existing cabinetry, sand it down, and professionally respray it – that’s their most affordable service line, and also their most sustainable from an environmental perspective as it involves reusing existing materials. Refacing is when they keep existing cabinet boxes and supply brand new doors. And replacing is exactly what it sounds like – they do fully custom renovations with full tear-outs and redesigns. With all three of these service lines, not just the high end ones, Decorrestore also offers carpentry modifications. According to Ally, that’s a big part of what sets the company MAY 2023
