The Construction Source

Pride in Every Project: The SVEMY Construction Way For Vladan, every project that SVEMY Construction undertakes is a source of pride. “We take pride in all of the projects we do,” he asserts. “The size doesn’t matter. We don’t treat a small project any different than we do a big project. Every project we do, we take a lot of pride in it and we provide the same quality and the same attention to detail.” In recent years, the company has taken on some larger-scale projects. One significant ongoing project is the renovation of a 16-storey Best Western hotel in Downtown Calgary. The scope of work includes replacing all the flooring, introducing new tiling, replacing the wallpaper, and engineering and installing new sprinkler and fire alarm systems for the entire hotel with new backup generator. SVEMY Construction’s project portfolio also includes work in national parks. In Banff National Park, they designed and built the Lake Louise Transit Shelter and renovated Lake Louise Visitor Centre as a design build project. In Jasper National Park, they installed a new 25,000-litre helicopter fuel tank, a project that required extensive excavation, concrete work, and installation of underground utilities. MAY 2023
