The Construction Source

them – because if we did, why wouldn’t we just do the work ourselves?” That doesn’t mean that everything goes perfectly smooth all the time, Peter adds – as that’s not how life works, and it’s definitely not how construction works. “Everyone has moments where they are not at their best,” he says. “Everybody has their slip-ups. People make mistakes. What matters is how you respond after a mistake is made. We like to work with people who take accountability and do what it takes to make it right.” Moving forward, Hammer & Castle’s goal is to continue to build and maintain relationships with subcontractors who fit that bill. We want to do jobs that require a sensitive touch and a creative approach. We want to take on projects that are unique – unique in style and unique in what the customer is trying to do. That’s what we specialize in and that’s what we love to do.” “We don’t want to grow to the point where we have 100 employees,” Stephanie adds, “but we definitely want to get our name out there. We want to be busy enough where we’re booking projects a year in advance for clients who value what we offer enough to wait for us. That’s already started to happen. We’re already on that path. We want to continue down that path.” JULY 2023
