Over the years, those projects have earned the firm a number of industry awards from bodies such as the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association (GOHBA), and they value and appreciate that recognition. As for the size of S.J.Lawrence, Shawn and Brandon agree that they the size they are at now is ideal. Their team generally includes about 10 people and they firmly believe that’s a good number. “I think the size we’re at is actually perfect,” Brandon says. “It allows us to create strong relationships. It encourages collaboration. And it’s not like we’re limited to smaller projects – at this size, we can take on projects of basically any scale and we can do them really efficiently.” “We’re very happy with where we are,” Shawn concludes. “It’s been about 30 years, and it’s worked really well so far.
