experience of their in-house team members: “We have some really high-end top guys who are experts at the craft of carpentry,” he says. “That’s important, because I firmly believe that being an expert in the craft is essential to managing other people who are performing those tasks. So we have multiple different site supervisors who have mastered their trades – everything from rough carpentry to fine finishing to exteriors and everything in between.” Snowdon Construction also performs as much of their work in-house as possible. TJ says that’s important because “it allows us to keep our quality control very tight,” as well as “keep our schedules on track as well.” At the same time, when it comes to the subcontractors and tradespeople the company does use, TJ says they have formed some really trusting and longstanding relationships. Some of those relationships, he says, go back over a decade. “We’ve become friends,” TJ says. “They are people I can trust and people I would hang out with outside of work. We’ve built some really strong, lasting relationships and we’re all accountable to each other.” Moving forward, Snowdon Construction’s goal is to maintain those relationships, and as they grow and get bigger they hope those partners can grow alongside them.
