Industryrecognized As previously mentioned, at the most-recent 2022 CHBA Awards, J. Zsiros Contracting’s recent work was acclaimed in multiple categories. Most notably, a home they titled ‘Carriage House Elegance’ won the category for ‘Best Entry Level Home.’ Carriage House Elegance is a modest 930 square-foot home that can be described as “extremely energy-efficient.” It was made from 80 percent locally-sourced materials. The trees that were removed during construction were reused. Features include: a rain recovery system that irrigates the gardens; triple-glazed windows; added insulation; and heat recovery ventilation systems and heat pumps. Jim recalls having a lot of control over the design of that project.
