The team, customer partnerships, vendor partnerships and operations have made radical improvements since 2017. “When I came here, it was a dumpster fire,” he recalls. “In 2018, we started to really rebuild the business with new teammates and a focus on internal controls. In 2019, we started gaining momentum. In 2020, we realized that we are considered the market share leader in interior BC for civil construction. In 2021 and 2022, we enhanced that even further. We’ve grown every year since then.” In 2019, the company made the decision to rebrand from Emco Waterworks Kelowna into Emco Waterworks Interior. According to Jeff, the goal there was to showcase “that we were able to providesignificant valueoutside of our immediate traditional market, in underserved areas.” “We can service projects and contractors anywhere they want to go,” he explains. “That’s led us to working on projects as far north as Old Crow Lagoon, which is about 400 kilometres north of Whitehorse, and as far south as Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands. We are not restricted geographically when we consider opportunities for our business.” Over the past five years, Emco Waterworks Interior has formed some extremely strong relationships with many stakeholders across the civil construction industry. In particular, they have formed close ties with civil contractors, municipalities, regional districts, civil engineering firms, manufacturers and developers.
