If there’s an issue, we don’t mess around. We will sort it out with minimal stress to the customer.” “That’s been the spirit of this company for many, many years,” Peter continues. “We’ve been able to develop a brand that people trust. They know that when they work with Southern Irrigation, they’re going to get taken care of. They know we’re going to deal with them in an honest and ethical way.” That approach, and that brand-building, has historically paid off in the form of repeat work and referrals. Of course, certain customers are purely price-driven and Southern Irrigation respects that, and sometimes they can compete and sometimes they can’t – “but what we’re really after are customers that understand the value-add that we bring to the table, and who keep coming to us first,” Peter says. Thesedays, Peter says they have a strong list of clients who fall in that category. He says that some of those relationships go back to 1987, when their store in Chilliwack first opened.
