Cameron says they are able to achieve that quality because of the high calibre of their team. “We have five supervisors-slashlead-carpenters, and they are all on it,” he says. “They know what they’re doing. They know what quality looks like, they know how to deliver it, and that’s what they do.” Appenzell has also fostered relationships with subcontractors and suppliers with similar values. Camerson says that they keep those partners accountable when it comes to pricing, but when they find partners who fit their values and can meet their quality, they tend to hold on to them. “What we look for is ‘no bullshit,’” he says, “We like to work with people who do what they say, and who can deliver for us.
