“We collaborate with our clients to design and build buildings that provide the best value to the end users,” says Joe Dotto, CEO. “Our ability to work with clients every step of the way, combined with the quality of our panel system, is what sets us apart.” “One of the misconceptions about the modular industry as a whole is that we build portable trailers,” adds Rob Hislop, Preconstruction Manager. “We do not build trailers – we build high quality relocatable or permanent buildings within a quality controlled plant setting, and we provide turnkey solutions from project concept through to final occupancy.” MODUS is one of the longest tenured off-site construction companies in Canada, having been successfully completing projects since 2004. Prior to that date, Joe and the other three founding partners worked together in Calgary for another company that had been doing similar work. When that company closed its doors, Joe and his partners got together and decided that there was still opportunity to be seized in the modular construction world. “Fortunately, we had some really strong client relationships that carried over into MODUS,” Joe recalls. “In fact, prior to us even officially forming a new company, we had orders in hands from one of our past clients to kick-start things.” Today, MODUS is located in Crossfield, Alberta, and operates out of a 130,000 square foot facility. From that facility, they product buildings for all of Western Canada – including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut – and they NOVEMBER 2022
