Transforming the industry Moving forward, Rick says the goal for Tooketree Passive Homes is to grow the company and the environmentally friendly segment of the building industry. They are looking into finding efficiencies and introducing new technology that will allow them to optimize production in their current factory. When they founded the company, Rick and Melinda’s vision was grander than just growing one company. Their goal thenwas to “help transform the industry,” and that remains their goal today. “We’re trying to encourage other builders to transform as well,” Rick says. “We want to encourage others to build responsibly, to look at the materials they are putting in their homes and to use only materials that are good for the environment.” Rick is also working on leveraging his influence in other ways.
