Disrupting the industry Currently, AIM Development and Marketing is actively developing two infill projects in downtown Vernon – one threeunit project and one seven-unit project. For the former project, they are taking one house in the inner downtown of Vernon and dividing it into three one-storey properties geared towards retirees. The latter project, meanwhile, will comprise seven townhomes, including two duplexes and one triplex. Ianwould love tobecontributing more attainable housing to the community, but he says the biggest impediment is the approvals process. Moving forward, he hopes the city of Vernon will take a closer look at that process.
