Adrenaline Earthworks is a full-service earthworks company based in Chestermere, Alberta. Since forming almost 10 years ago, they have provided a wide range of earthworks solutions to a variety of project types in Calgary and surrounding areas. In that time, they have consistently provided their clients with safety, service, support, and expertise. They have also proven to clients that they don’t have to choose between a quality result and a respectful relationship with their contractor – they can and should have both. “We put our clients at the center of everything we do,” says Morgan Matheson, owner and office coordinator. “From the initial consultation to project completion, we listen to their needs, provide tailored solutions, and maintain open communication.” “Our goal is to exceed their expectations and build long-lasting relationships,” she adds. “This commitment to excellence has earned us a loyal customer base and numerous referrals.” The story of Adrenaline Earthworks began in 2016, when president and owner Manny Abdullah, armed with a degree in computer science, decided he was done with the white-collar industry. He came home one day, ready for a change, and he shared his dream of buying a skid steer with his wife. “Despite my apprehensions, I stood by his side, supporting his ambition,” Morgan recalls. “Not long after, Adrenaline Earthworks was born.” From the start, Morgan says that Manny “hit the ground running,” knocking on doors, handing out business cards, and introducing himself at worksites. The company started small, with just ADRENALINE EARTHWORKS

one employee, but “through sheer hard work and perseverance,” it grew steadily. Just a couple years in, they were so busy that Morgan – who came from a background in healthcare and nursing – had to quit her job at the hospital and join the company full-time. These days, Adrenaline Earthworks boasts a team of 30 employees and a robust fleet of equipment – “a testament to the blood, sweat, and tears poured into the business,” Morgan says. “Built from the ground up, without any handouts or hand-ups, the company stands as a symbol of our collective dedication and resilience.” “The history of Adrenaline Earthworks is a tale of ambition, determination, and unwavering support,” she adds. “We made purpose out of every opportunity given to us. It’s all about people believing in us and giving us the chance to showcase our skills. Those moments are what drive us forward and fuel our growth.” Today, Adrenaline Earthworks offers a wide range of scopes of work. Their services include but are not limited to: topsoil stripping; excavation and backfill for mechanical and electrical trenching; site grading; cut to fill onsite, along with import and export of material; detail backfill of building structural foundations; supply and install of granular material for slab on grade; and bulk and detail excavation of building structural foundations. In terms of their capabilities, the company specializes in commercial and industrial projects, and Morgan says “our ambition truly has no limits.” THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA
“Our operations are designed to tackle projects of all sizes, from smaller-scale builds to large, complex undertakings,” she explains. “We choose to build in locations where there is high demand for quality commercial and industrial developments – typically in areas with growing businesses or expanding industries.” “Our capacity to handle projects is vast; we are equipped to take on anything from groundup constructions to intricate renovations and everything in between,” she continues. “No challenge is too big for us, and we are always pushing the envelope to showcase the best in our work.” Currently, Adrenaline Earthworks is demonstrating their capacity on an exciting project that involves a new type of concrete never before applied at this scale in Canada. This innovative concrete – called PRIMEX – is seamless, crack-resistant, and incredibly strong. “We had experts fly in from around the world to oversee the process and ensure the highest quality control,” Morgan says. “The reason for the large, seamless slab is that the facility we’re building will largely be run by robots once completed. It’s a cutting-edge project, blending advanced materials with forward-thinking automation, and we’re excited to be part of it.” ADRENALINE EARTHWORKS
THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA Unwavering support As previously mentioned, Morgan credits the rapid growth Adrenaline Earthworks has experienced partly to Manny and his determination, and partly to the “unwavering support” that he’s received. When she talks about support, however, she’s not just talking about herself – she’s also referring to the company’s roster of subcontractors and suppliers, many of whom go back to day one. “Partnerships with subcontractors and suppliers are absolutely critical to our success,” she says. “Without them, we simply wouldn’t be able to deliver projects on time or meet the high standards of excellence we strive for and consistently achieve. Our subcontractors are integral to our operations, bringing specialized skills and expertise that complement our team. They help us execute even the most complex aspects of a project with precision and quality.” “Similarly, our suppliers are essential for providing the materials and

These partnerships allow us to maintain smooth operations and ensure we always have the right resources at the right time. “The collaborative nature of our work with subcontractors and suppliers is what enables us to meet – and often exceed – our clients’ expectations. They’re a vital part of every project’s success.” Adrenaline Earthworks is also supported by their employees in-house. In fact, Morgan calls those direct team members “the heart and soul of our company,” and she says they work hard to retain them and keep them happy and engaged. “We treat our employees like family,” she says. “Everyone here is part of a close-knit team that values hard work, dedication, and mutual respect. From the very beginning, our team has been instrumental in growing this business from the ground up, and we take immense pride in that collective achievement.” When you work at Adrenaline Earthworks, Morgan adds, “You are not just another number.” “We treat our employees with respect and genuinely value their opinions on work efforts and next steps. Your voice matters here. We make it a point to celebrate our employees as often as we can. Whether it’s a small achievement or a major milestone, we believe in recognizing and appreciating the hard work and dedication of our team.”
ADRENALINE EARTHWORKS “We are committed to the growth and development of our employees,” she continues. “We provide opportunities for learning and advancement, ensuring that our team members can thrive both personally and professionally. Our supportive and collaborative work environment fosters a sense of belonging and camaraderie. We believe in working together to overcome challenges and achieve our goals.” On the topic of relationships, Adrenaline Earthworks also believes in building strong relationships within their community. Again, Manny started the business by knocking on doors and introducing himself at worksites – and Morgan says that personal touch “has remained a cornerstone of our approach.” That approach is reflected in the company’s active participation in local events, their sponsorships of community activities, and their engagement with their neighbours to build trust and rapport.
THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA Pushing boundaries Moving forward, Morgan says the future is “incredibly exciting” for Adrenaline Earthworks. Over the next five years, she describes their primary goal as “continued growth.” That means growing both the size of the projects they take on, and also potentially expanding the company’s range of services. “We’re aiming to expand into new building segments, including more specialized areas that push the boundaries of what we’ve done before,” she explains. “This could involve exploring emerging markets or diving deeper into sectors like green building or advanced industrial facilities.” “Staying on top of leading-edge technology is also a major part of our vision,” she adds. “As we continue to integrate more tools like automation, AI, and cutting-edge materials, we want to ensure that we’re always at the forefront of the industry. This could mean
ADRENALINE EARTHWORKS expanding our tech capabilities or adopting new systems that allow us to work more efficiently and maintain the highest standards of quality.” Adrenaline Earthworks is also currently evaluating opportunities to branch out into new markets, both in terms of geography and in terms of the types of services they provide. In both cases, Morgan says, “we’re ready to take on whatever challenges come our way.” Ultimately, our ambition is to become a leader in the commercial and industrial sectors, known not just for our quality, but for our innovation and adaptability,” she concludes. “The next five years will be about pushing boundaries, trying new things, and continuing to grow – both as a company and as a team.” BULK GASOLINE • DIESEL • LUBE OILS • GREASE • DELIVERY • CARDLOCK Alberta’s first choice of Fuel & Lubricant supplier! www.robertsonfuels.com Congratulations to the Adrenaline Earthworks We wish you many more years of continued success.
