A downtown institution Another exciting addition to Calgary’s east end is the Arts Commons Transformation (ACT). Arts Commons is a multi-venue arts centre which occupies a full city block in downtown Calgary, and which has been operating since 1985. It’s often described as a downtown cultural institution as well as Calgary’s home for performing and visual arts.
