Jordan has lived inGrand Prairie, Alberta for more than 20 years, ever since his family moved to the area when he was a kid. From that point on, his parents were constantly taking on small projects and renovations, and Jordan became involved in construction from a young age. His first job was in the home building industry as a sub-trade, and over the last decade-plus he’s worked in various areas of residential homebuilding. Prior to starting his own company, Jordan spent the majority of his career in the service and warranty departments of other builders, where he learned as many construction practices as possible, and where he worked side-by-side with home owners. That experience taught him the key to building healthy builder- client relationships, as well as how to deliver a great product and service experience. Jordan eventually founded Grande Built Homes after being approached by his father, who was developing a subdivision in Grand Prairie. He needed a builder to construct the homes in that subdivision. Jordan was satisfied at the company he worked for, so he initially turned his father down, but he says “the opportunity kept knocking, and it became harder and harder to say no.” What made him say ‘yes,’ ultimately, was the opportunity JANUARY 2021 “ Today, Grande Built Homes builds primarily in two neighbourhoods of Grande Prairie, called Westgate and Kensington. Both are situated on the west side of town, within walking distance of all the amenities and services that buyers will need.”
